Last night at about 2:45am I discovered that I can make some incredible sounds with my mouth and throat. I spent the next four hours practicing and I think that I might have perfected the art.

My Dad said he might record my performance tonight because it was so unbelievable! How awesome is that?

Normally this would be cause for concern but apparently this was supposed to happen. The remnants of my umbilical cord fell off at some point during my sleep. I was really hoping for a more exciting conclusion to this stage of my life, but so it goes. I didn’t even feel it fall off. It wasn’t until I work up with it in my diaper, scratching the inside of my thigh that I realized it had happened.

At 20 minutes after the start of the eighth day of the seventh month of the year 2009 I decided it was time to see what the world outside is all about. The first thing I noticed is that I have a lot more hair than most of the other newborns. And more than my Dad!
