So far none of the events hold my attention like Jeopardy. I sure hope that it isn’t pre-empted, or on reruns, during the Olympics.

Last night we had dinner with Gottfried and Kavita. It was so much fun. I was a party animal and stayed up until 9:30!!! Their house is so nice and filled with colourful things. I loved it.

To make up for my late night I slept in until 7. Mom came down and got me and I got to hang out with Mom and Dad in their bed for a while. That’s my favourite thing to do, and I think it’s theirs as well. We just lay there and talk, and listen to the radio.

But Mom and Dad got a vaporizer for my room and it’s made all the difference in the world. I wake up each morning and my nose is just about free of snot. It’s fantastic!

And the burbling water sound it makes is soothing.

I’m sick. I’ve got a cold. And I’m tired. I guess that’s the result of a crazy Christmas celebration. Christmas Eve was spent with Mom and Dad – we got to open one present each. Dad and I got the best gift – matching Mellow Johnny’s shirts. (For those not in the know… Mellow Johnny’s is Lance Armstrong’s bike shop in Austin. The name is a riff on the way that Americans pronounce Maillot Jaune (Yellow Jersey from Le Tour, in French).

On Christmas morning we opened some presents and checked out the goodies in our stockings. This is probably the strangest of the Christmas traditions but I’ll wait for a few more years before I start questioning it…

Later that morning Grammy, Aunt Vanessa and Auntie Lynn came over. This was just about my cue to have a nap. And what a nap it was! When I woke they had finished eating dinner and were nearing departure time.

The next morning we got up and hit the road bound for Kingston.

We opened some more presents with Nana, Aunt Jenn, Uncle Darrin, Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Adam. It was a lot of fun.

Eventually I got to go to bed. But I couldn’t sleep. Or rather I didn’t sleep.

On Monday I got to meet Glenn. He’s an incredible man. Too bad I’m not older or else I bet we’d have some great conversations.

That’s right! Today I met the Jolly Old Elf in the Red Suit. For a guy as old as he is, you’d think he’d be smarter; he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and looked like I was actually going to tell him. With words. I’m 5 months old! I can’t speak yet. Sure, I can blog, but blogging is easy. Speaking to people, in the real world, that takes talent and skill that I’m still working on developing.

Stepping off the soapbox, here’s a pic of the fam with Santa Claus:

Yikes! It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since I last updated my blog. A lot has happened in that time. For those who haven’t seen me in that time – I’m huge!!! I’m growing like crazy. My teeth are almost all the way in – just the bottom two. No more have shown up yet.

Dad’s been taking a bunch of photos and videos. I told him that he has to get them posted this week, or else!

Stay tuned as I’m back in the blogging groove.

At the ripe ol’ age of four months I’ve decided that I no longer need my Mom or Dad to help me get to sleep. And thankfully Mom and Dad are picking up on my cues – when I rub my eyes and then look towards my crib, it means I want to go to sleep. In my crib.

All they have to do is put me in my crib and off to sweet dreams I go!

And if this is all it takes to impress my parents…

That’s right – my two bottom teeth have arrived! They still have some growing to do, just like the rest of me, but they are there. Bring on the steak!
